Biography

He graduated at the conservatory for piano and was supported by L. Passaglia. He also studied analysis and composition together with F. Sinfonia, G. P. Chiti and F. Delli Pizzi. R. Bellafronte has taught at the conservatory in the towns of Como, Sassari and Trapani.
The "Master Classes Review" which usually takes place in the town of Vasto has been artistically directed by him for seven years.
When he sets his compositions he always tries to search and test the new ways, getting involved either in the field of "refined" music or in the "electronic" one; for many years he has made cut records and orchestration sheets in the recording studios.
His artistic production seems to wear a pictorial model, but it also embraces some other styles which have been discovered going over the centuries. This artist can express his ideas and let them become music through some special audio supports (like magnetic tape, disk, compact disk), applying also the old ways of composition.
R. Bellafronte has revitalised the role of interpreter as focal and joining point between public and opera. Lots of his compositions have been recorded by Bongiovanni and Bèrben (recording houses). Besides many others, executed at first in Italy, later have been played also at the "Carnagie Hall" in New York , mentioning in particular the first world night "Oasi alla mente" (October 1996). The Bongiovanni house has recorded two monographic CD (GB5049-2/GB5081-2) which have been nationally and internationally reviewed, gaining extremely positive judgements. Bellafronte's recording production titles appear within the most important catalogues all over the world.
It is also important to remind that during 1999, this compositor started covering the role of artistic director at the International Seminars of Music in Cupello.
