Bellafronte's
musical language constantly expresses irony; a not recurrent quality among
the Italian musicians. Irony, unlike the assembling gag, is a learning
support and allows one to be objective and detached in order to understand
better the meaning of reality (standing to the ontological prospective),
process and relationships (standing to the phenomenological prospective).
However it
is important not to consider this aspect as the most important one ,
since Bellafronte's production shows also other precious expressive sides.
In fact he
uses to deepen also the other aspects of the musical language.
The compositor
revises everything concerning music that means: rhythm, melodies, accords
and tones which are focal points in his production.
We get in touch
with a special and self conscious way of expression, looking like a building
and playing a special game with the sounds; so that Bellafronte's intention
to awake one's emotions becomes real.
His music is
blown by a sort of "corporeity" made of rhythmical, colourist,
harmonic bursts and lyric startles; reaching up the contemplative dimension
and stirring up the primordial emotions of passion and pain.
The compositor tries to reach the rare and delicate contact dimension,
which is almost physical, between compositor and audience, music and hearing
sensitivity: irony and pathos , stasis and moving, life dualism
It is a big
risk going against the actual composition trends which are more and more
dismantling and breaking away from reality; trying to reach an isolated
and hermetic limbo.
The real challenge
for R. Bellafronte bases on his intention to: reconcile the conflicting
desires, compose the centrifugal forces, get accordance between audience
and composition; connect the need to be original with the refuse of idolatry
for what is "new", the spiritual expression with the writing
production, irony with drama, content and style: that means trying to
"balance" the composite instability of the chaotic musical dimension.
